Green leasing is all about good communication between landlord and tenant, observes Adam Sledd, Green Leasing Program Manager at the Institute for Market Transformation.  He explains that it is about the two parties sharing their expectations for an energy efficiency project and fairly apportioning the costs and benefits, not about legalities or the format of the lease. Adam shares real-world examples of how green leases and effective negotiation can achieve outcomes that benefit both owners and tenants and deliver greater energy efficiency than either party could achieve alone.
